Know all Men by these Presents, That we Martha Sadler of Newton in the Parish of Tattenhall in the County of Chester, Widow, Ephraim Sadler of Great Saughall, in the same County, Farmer; and William Sadler of Haughton in the Parish of Bunbury in the same Co: Farmer are holden and firmly bound unto the Right Reverend Father in God John Bird by Divine Permission, Lord Bishop of Chester, in the Sum of Sixteen hundred Pounds, of good and lawful Money of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland... to be paid unto the said Lord Bishop... to which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and every of us severally for and in the whole, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrators... Sealed with our Seals, and dated the Sixth Day of November in the Third Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lady Victoria by the Grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith, and the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and forty.

The Condition of this Obligation is such, that the above bounden Martha Sadler Widow, the Relict, and Administratrix of all and singular the goods, chattels, and credits of William Sadler late of Newton in the Parish of Tattenhall in the County and Diocese of Chester, Farmer deceased Intestate do make or cause to be made, a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels, and credits of the said deceased, which have or shall come to the hands, possession, or knowledge of her the said Martha Sadler... and the same... do exhibit... into the Registry of the Consistory Court of Chester aforesaid, at or before the last day of May next ensuing. And the same goods, chattels, and credits... do well and truly administer according to law, and further to make... a true and just account of her said administration, at or before the last day of November which shall be in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & forty one... pursuant to the true intent and meaning of an Act of Parliament, made in the two-and-twentieth and three-and-twentieth years of the reign of his late Majesty King Charles the Second, entitled, An Act for the better settling Intestates estates... then this obligation to be void and of none effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.

The sixth day of November 1840. Martha Sadler within named took the usual oath of an Administratrix in common form, and also made oath that the personal estate and effects of the Intestate within the Diocese of Chester were under the value of Eight Hundred Pounds.
