Legacies: • my brother John BARBER, Yeoman of Trudoxhill, Joseph HODDINOTT, Yeoman of Batts Farm, psh of North Brewham, and Fanny HODDINOTT his wife to be trustees
• to my brother John BARBER £15 for life from the sale of my freehold property
• trustees
- to sell all my freehold premises herein after described or given me by the will of my late husband John CORNISH, i.e. (1) my freehold house with all the buildings constituted with it, the garden and premises adjoining and lot with it in Trudoxhill now in the occupation of Mary BALL (2) my freehold house with outbuildings and garden and orchard adjoining now let to and in the occupation of Lucy CORNISH; also a freehold tenement and garden adjoining the also let to and in the occupation of John CHARLTON; also the reversion in fee of a tenement, garden and premises adjoining the last lot held by lives and now in the occupation of William CORNISH Snr, the lessee (3) the freehold messuage or tenement with garden and premises belonging in Nunney and now in the occupation of John STORRS; also a paddock or enclosure near Berry Hill and Sh??? Lane near the village of Nunney bought by the late John CORNISH of Robert MILES then of Nunney
- the monies arising from the sale to my daughter Fanny HODDINOTT to be her sole property free from the control of her husband notwithstanding her coverture
- if Fanny dies before me leaving issue all the legacies to her and all monies I am possessed of to be invested in government securities for the use of such issue at 21; but if she dies before me leaving no issue all I have given to her and all monies I am possessed of to be invested in government securities, the income from the whole of my property to go to my brother John BARBER and son in law Simon HODDINOTT in equal shares for life; and after the death of both £300 to the trustees of the Independent Chapel at Trudoxhill for the support of the Minister for ever, but if John CALLOWAY, the present Minister, or Mary his wife is alive when the legacy ??? but they shall have the interest for their own use
• residue to be divided share and share alike to my nephews and nieces, Charles BARBER, William BARBER, Fanny THORP, Martha TUFFY and Mary BARBER, ch/o my late brother Thomas BARBER; also to Cathrine RUSSELL w/o Thomas RUSSELL of Nunney and Noah NOUDON (?) now living at Fesuit (?), Soms, and if any of the above seven legatees are dead their children to have their parent’s share
