INTERESTING WEST HULL WEDDING.
The wedding took place this afternoon at the Wesleyan Church, Coltman-street, of Miss E. M. Lockwood (younger daughter of the late Mr Joseph Lockwood, of this city) and the Rev S. O. Tattersall, of Rochdale. The bride has many intimate associations with Coltman-street Church. For several years, prior to her leaving Hull for Brough, she took an active interest in the Sunday School and in other branches of the work, and has also been a keen worker on behalf of the Hull Guild of Brave Poor Things.
The bridegroom was the first minister of the well-known Edmonton Central Hall, London. After six years there he went to Rochdale as superintendent of the Wesleyan Mission.
The bride was given away by her brother, Mr J. P. Lockwood, Barrister-at-law, and was accompanied by her niece, Miss Enid Lockwood, as bridesmaid. The Rev E. J. W. Harvey, M.A., was the best man, and the service was conducted by the Rev Ernest Rhodes, assisted by the Rev Howard Watkin-Jones, M.A., and Mr J. Soulsby, A.R.C.O. was at the organ. The numerous friends of the bride and bridegroom sent many handsome and useful presents. A reception was afterwards held at the home of the bride "Glenville," Brough, the residence of her aunt, Mrs Mountain. Later in the day the bride and bridegroom left for the Lake District.
