After her first husband died in 1957 she moved some years later to work in Mildura, Australia where she met her second husband.
She had a dearly loved friend, Frank Gunson Hewitt who is buried with her parents and sister in Southport. He was buried on 19th October 1945 aged 73 years. He was also one of the chief morners at her fathers funeral.
