Worked with his wife Muriel at Redmans on the corner of St Bedes and Waterloo Road, Blackpool. Later he became the Manager at Redmans Stall in Abingdon St Market and was there for sometime. His father-in-law also finished up working for Redmans who bought out the Bamber family bakery business.
