Brief History: 1812 Chapel in former house of Robert Hargreaves which also served Sabden (Bridge) Sabden Hall (Fold), Newchurch-in-Pendle, Wheatley Lane and Pendle Bottom. Services were also held in a barn at Sabden Hall for a time in the 1800s 1841 'Old Chapel' formed from some cottages 1851 Religious Census = Chapel built 1812 1859 New premises built for the schools 1872 'Old Chapel' taken down and new one built on site 1873 A new chapel opened 1984 Chapel Demolished
