He was the second son of Frederick and Martha Dale, of Cheshire; husband of Lily Dale, of 'Roseneath,' Huxley, Chester.
Killed in Action. Age: 35
Walter and his brother LCPL. Frank Dale, are both interred at Coxyde as they were killed within one week of each other. Their brother Pte. Albert Dale, is buried at Varennes Military Cemetery in France
