Evelyn was a divorcee, and her maiden name was Ullerpserger

Notes from Robert Brudenell: I actually managed to meet Eva Brudenell (nee Ullersperger) in Bracknell. She's in her eighties now, not very mobile, but able to remember a few facts.
I got the impression that she didn't get on too well with the Brudenell family at all. She only met her future mother-in-law the day before the wedding! She was almost reluctant to talk too much about them, and didn't remember anything about any other members of the family - other than her husbands brothers and sisteโฆ Notes from Robert Brudenell: I actually managed to meet Eva Brudenell (nee Ullersperger) in Bracknell. She was almost reluctant to talk too much about them, and didn't remember anything about any other members of the family - other than her husbands brothers and sisters.
I took a few notes which may be useful:
The pub where the bomb raid occurred was the Castle Pub in Putney. Whichever daughter died in the raid (possibly Gladys), it was an open verdict. She suffered from Schizophrenia, and her body was found next to an open gas oven.
Marjorie went to work for Eatons department stores in Quebec, Canada. She had one daughter - Pat. However, Eva only knew of her by the name Marjorie Roy, and not Jarrett as I have discovered - she must of remarried?
Hugh Cecil Brudenell - Eva's husband was known as Frank. He was in the Merchant navy, and his ashes were scattered at sea - possibly off the wreck of the Arcadia / Accasia.
Desmond worked at numerous "weather stations" around the world and later worked at GCHQ. He obviously had some fairly high levels of military clearance. When he retired, he worked managing several restaurants.
Desmond adopted a son, James, in the early 1960's and lived in Cornwall. Not known if he's still alive. I have a picture of Desmond, James and "Frank" together.
Lionel committed suicide in the grounds of Royal Holloway College in the late 1950's. Apparently he'd been ill for some time, and a possible relationship breakdown was too much for him. Show more
