The 1881 Census has him living in Half Edge Lane in the same house is a Harriet Carman and she is buried at Barton Wesleyan. On the gravestone is the following:

Information from Rosalie Sadler:
He lived in Monton, Eccles prior to retirement in Cleveleys. He founded a business of plumbers merchants, sold imported Italian glass for leaded lights along with ceramics. Provided all the replacement gutters, pipes etc. for Buxton Opera House.
He provided the windows for Monton Unitarian Church where rests the Sadler family grave.
His business commenced in 1851 in Ardwick, Manchester and later proceeded (for expansion) to 1, 3 & 5 Plymouth Grove,
